In agreement with the Municipality of Serrenti, the Earth Arts Laboratory was founded as a Training Centre for the "raw earth construction" in 2010.
The Scientific Direction of the Laboratory has been entrusted to the architect Maddalena Achenza, responsible for LabTerra of the Faculty of Architecture in Cagliari.
The educational activities are aimed at architecture and engineering students, free professional designers, construction companies and their workers and the artists who want to grapple with the use of raw earth material in architectures and arts in gender.
Thanks to the workshops, periodically organized by the laboratory, people learn the technical knowledge about the raw earth as a building material, the different construction techniques, the construction of architectural elements, of earth-based plasters, etc.
